International Activities

  • February 2024 – Susan Leblanc, Chair, and Andrew Lauzon, Executive Secretary, attended the CWP Steering Committee meeting, which was held virtually on February 20, 2024. 
  • December 2023 – Marie-Hélène Gaudreau, MP and Steering Committee member of CWP Canadian Region, participated in the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians network Workshop on Champions for Gender Equality in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from December 6 to 8, 2023. 
  • September 2023 – Susan Leblanc, Chair, MLA, Nova Scotia, and Rémi Bourgault, Executive Secretary, participated in the Steering Committee Meeting and other related CWP events that took place during the 66th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held in Accra, Ghana, from September 30 to October 6, 2023.
  • August 2022 - Susan Leblanc, Alternate Chair of CWP Canadian Region, MLA, Nova Scotia, and the Executive Secretary participated at the Steering Committee Meeting and the 7th triennial CWP Conference which took place during the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held in Halifax, Canada, from August 20 to 26, 2022.
  • Lisa Thompson, Chair, and the Executive Secretary attended the 25th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Steering Committee Meeting, which took place virtually on November 20, 2021.
  • ​Lisa Thompson, Chair, and the Executive Secretary attended the Mid-Year CWP Steering Committee meeting, which took place virtually on September 15, 2021.
  • October and November 2020 - Lisa Thompson, Alternate Chair of CWP Canadian Region, MPP, Ontario, attended the 24th CWP Steering Committee Meeting, which took place virtually on October 30 and November 13, 2020.
  • September 2019 - Laura Ross, Chair of CWP Canadian Region, MLA, Saskatchewan, and the Executive Secretary participated at the Steering Committee Meeting and the 6th triennial CWP Conference which took place during the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held in Kampala, Uganda, from September 22 to 29, 2019.
  • November 2018 – Laura Ross, Chair of CWP Canadian Region, MLA, Saskatchewan, participated at the Women Leaders Global Forum in Reykjavik, Iceland, from November 26 to 28, 2018.
  • April 2018 - Laura Ross, Chair of CWP Canadian Region, MLA, Saskatchewan, participated at the Commonwealth Women’s Forum at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London, United Kingdom, from April 16 to 18, 2018.
  • November 2017 - 21st Steering Committee Meeting which took place during the 63rd Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 2 November, 2017. The Canadian Region was represented by Yasmin Ratansi, M.P., Canadian Branch CWP Representative.
